Angry Birds has once again been voted the Best Game at the Carphone Warehouse Appys.
The addictive game beat off stiff competition to retain its crown at an award ceremony held yesterday in London.
However, the top accolade went to Sky Sports News, which scooped App of the Year – it also won the highly competitive sports accolade for the second year running.
The BBC and YouTube were other big hitters who scooped awards in the entertainment, news and weather categories.
Appys judge Dave Masters said: "Angry Birds shows no signs of running out of steam. Constantly creative, endlessly addictive, it remains unrivalled as the most popular gaming app to-date.
"And looks like it will do for several years to come."
NHS Direct won the Best Health and Wellbeing App category and Domino's Pizza scooped the Best Food and Cooking App gong.
Meanwhile, mobile phone users were taken by the Google Maps app, which was described as a "constant help on foot and in the car".
