The Android 4.4 KitKat update for mobile phones must be just around the corner as new leaks appear to be coming in thick and fast.

A log file has reportedly fell into the wrong hands and shows a Nexus 5 running the unreleased software.

According to Myce, which leaked the images, the Nexus 5 is currently running under the codename "Hammerhead". It is thought that the Android 4.4 KitKat will make its debut on the Google-powered device.

The website also managed to get their hands on some details about the upcoming Nexus handset. Leaked information indicates that the handset will have a 1920 x 1080 and there is a strong suggestion that the update will enable wireless charging.

The update was supposed to be called Key Lime Pie until the search engine giant made a surprise deal with Nestle to name the latest software update after one of the Swiss company's most famous chocolate bars.

According to Nestle, KitKat 4.4 should be arriving in October and the Nexus 5 may not be that far away either.
