Owners of Google's Nexus mobile phones have been lucky enough to get two Android updates in the space of a week.

A matter of days after the Android 4.4.1 update started rolling out to Nexus users, its successor – Android 4.4.2 has been made available to download for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 devices.

However, more recent reports seem to suggest that the 4.4.2 is an replacement for an unstable version of 4.4.1, instead of being the latest KitKat download.

It appears as though Google may have stalled the first update in order to fix some bugs and has then released this updated version under the 4.4.2 label.

The information text that accompanies the new update is identical to the 4.4.1 download, promising to make notable improvements to the Nexus 5's camera by making capturing images quicker with less motion blur and shutter lag.
