Are you attached to a particular smartphone manufacturer or will you happily flit from brand to brand when you’re upgrading?
According to a new survey by www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, Apple iPhone owners are particularly loyal to their chosen brand.
Figures showed that people with an iPhone have been loyal for five years on average – which will certainly be pleasing news for Apple ahead of the launch of the iPhone 8 this autumn.
Samsung and Nokia owners are less brand loyal, having stuck with their current manufacturer for just two years on average after switching from another manufacturer.
How long do you use your phone for each day?
Interestingly, the survey by www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk revealed that every single respondent used their smartphone at least once a day.
The average respondent was found to spend a total of four hours and 12 minutes on their handset each day.
This total was calculated after the research found the typical person spends 37 minutes on their phone before work, followed by 85 minutes on their phone during the working day and another 130 minutes on their phone in the evening.
The findings are an interesting reminder of just how important smartphones have become to us and bring home how difficult it would be to adapt to life without one.
George Charles, spokesman for www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, commented: “For many, going a day without their mobile phone is simply not something they want to think about.
“It’s their life source; phone calls, text messages, social media, emails… it’s all right there on one device. “
