Yotaphone Releases Full Touch EPD Handset

Yotaphone's first mobile phone brought a LCD display with a touchscreen but the screen on the back didn't allow users to do anything other than view notifications. However, with the next generation that has all changed.

The original Yotaphone only showed the time or notifications on the back of the handset, but the Yotaphone 2 is a full-touch screen. This allows users to open notifications without having to drain your battery by doing the task on the front screen.

Its 4.7-inch electronic paper display (EPD) is an upgrade on the first backscreen too. It brings higher resolution and greater pixel density than its predecessor, while it also has a built-in light for reading.

It is claimed that this type of screen can extend their battery life to 50 hours from a fully-charged smartphone.

The front screen has also been improved to a five-inch AMOLED display, making it bigger and better than the original. It's also faster thanks to its quad-core 800 Qualcomm processor.
