World's first Tegra 4 phone unveiled
Rumours are unavoidable when a company is planning a new mobile phone and ZTE seems to have gone with the old adage that if you can't beat them - join them.
Chinese TENAA certification database has become infamous for leaking smartphone ahead of their release and the site recently released details about the ZTE U988S.
However, the manufacturer has taken an unusual move and decided to steal the site's thunder and leak their own details and pictures of its upcoming smartphone.
Information was given to a forum and Sina Weibo and ZTE even confirmed that the device will be a Chinese version of the Geek handset. The device will also be the world's first smartphone to carry the quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip.
However, it's uncertain whether or not the device will reach other Asian countries and if it will stretch further. Although it seems unlikely, it'll be interesting to see how successful the heavily-anticipated chip is and whether this forces the company to release more devices, with it enabled, to the rest of the world.
