'World's fastest smartphone' Huawei Ascend P2 unveiled at MWC
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 has kicked off in Barcelona today (February 25th), and Huawei has set standards high by unveiling the 'world's fastest smartphone'.
The Ascend P2 device utilises an LTE Cat 4 chip, which means that users can achieve around 150 mbps over 4G networks.
Impressive speeds mean that downloading apps, movies, music, books and so on from Google Play should be a delay-free exercise.
Browsing the web and streaming data on-the-go should also be far faster thanks to this advanced piece of hardware.
However, the price should be kept relatively low as the manufacturer has opted to curb other specifications while maintaining impressive performance.
The mobile phone features a 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM, while the resolution on the 4.7-inch touchscreen is 720 p rather than 1080 p often found with premium devices.
A 13-megapixel camera allows users to capture high-quality photographs and HDR footage, while the 1.3-megapixel, front-facing snapper is practical for video calls and self portraits.
