Samsung Galaxy Gear and Note 3 launch
Samsung has officially released its Galaxy Note 3 and mobile phone-watch hybrid Galaxy Gear.
Many will know that, in order to make the smartwatch work, you'll need to pick up a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as well, which makes it a pretty pricey purchase all-in-all.
However, if this doesn't put you off, Samsung are offering both devices for £868 which saves you £50 compared to buying the Note 3 (£629) and Galaxy Gear (£219) separately.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a 5.7-inch full-HD display with a 3,200 mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and up to 64GB of storage. The device will also run the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though will be one of the devices that can upgrade to KitKat 4.4 when it is released.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Gear, is a single-core 800 processor, 4GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 1.9-megapixel camera. It also works as a pedometer, a watch, a camera and, when linked up to the Galaxy Note 3, can make calls, display alerts and messages on its 1.63-inch display.
