Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is official
Search-engine juggernaut Google has finally unveiled the latest version of its mobile phone platform - Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, although the number of huge changes within it are few and far between.
There are various updates to multi-user and OpenGL ES 3.0 support and it has introduced Restricted Profiles as a feature. This high-security option will allow users to control content and apps for certain people which should prove extremely helpful for all those parents who face massive bills after they've let their young child access their smartphone.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean also upgrades the OpenGL support to the latest OpenGL ES 3.0 version which will enable game developers to make their products even better.
The first handset to come toting the latest Android version will be the Nexus 7, and Google will be rolling out the update for other Nexus devices, including its customised versions of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, soon.
