Vodafone technology 'offers a new opportunity'
Consumers who suffer from a poor signal in their home or workplace may want to consider selling their old mobile in order to take full advantage of the latest release from Vodafone.
The network has launched its Sure Signal, which makes use of Femtocell technology to provide customers with an improved level of 3G coverage.
The product is available for £50 and may interest some of the one in five Brits who have suggested they have missed an important event because of poor coverage.
Simon Saunders, chairman of the Femto Forum, said: "Femtocells have been causing a major stir in the telecoms industry as they represent a major new opportunity for economically delivering increased mobile broadband coverage and data speeds."
He added that the Sure Signal boxes provide users with reliable voice coverage for all currently existing 3G phones.
Vodafone research also discovered that one in 50 people would consider moving house for better indoor coverage on their mobile.
