Vodafone 'provides another option' for those wanting the iPhone
Following the launch of the Apple iPhone on Vodafone yesterday (Thursday January 14th) consumers have been provided with another option of obtaining the handset.
The operator has reported a successful opening day and those who have signed up to get the phone may want to recycle their old mobile for cash.
"I've had a lot of emails from stores saying that they've connected many customers who have moved onto the Vodafone network from O2 and Orange and we're expecting to see this trend continue because our tariffs are very competitive," said Vodafone retail director Terry O'Brien
He suggested to Mobile News that the iPhone had done "extremely well"on its launch day and that a good balance between the number of new connections and upgrades of the device had been seen.
Website CNET recently praised the Apple iPhone 3GS, stating it is a "compelling upgrade" due to new features and an "extended battery life".
