Use Apple mobile phone to access cricket app
Cricket fans with an iPhone will soon be able to access a brand new app on their device.
Friends Provident, sponsor of the domestic Twenty20 (T20) Cup, is designing and launching the app, which will focus solely on the competition.
Twenty20 cricket has caught the imagination of the British public since its arrival early last decade and many fans may like to access information about it on the go.
"Having mobile presence complements the faster-paced, dynamic style of the T20 competition and will allow fans to experience all the excitement of our summer tournament at the touch of a button," says Karen Burrell, head of marketing services at the company.
Those without an Apple iPhone could be lining up a purchase of the handset in order to enjoy the app, which will feature news, predictions and knowledge games.
But to do so they may need to raise cash through recycling their old mobile with Mazuma.
Apple announced last week it is to release the latest model in the iPhone series, the iPhone 4, in the UK on June 24th.
