US court bans sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
A court in the US has suspended sales of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the country while it considers the firm's legal wranglings with Apple.
The US firm had claimed that Samsung infringed its design patent and copied the look of Apple's marquee device - the iPad.
Samsung and Apple are locked in a number of legal battles all across the world but this is a big victory for the American technology giant.
The ban doesn't, however, apply to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 II, which is the newer edition of the tablet. The trial for the case is set to begin in California on July 30th.
Earlier this month Apple tried to include the Galaxy S3 in its initial proceedings but US District Court judge Lucy Koh refused.
"Although Samsung has a right to compete, it does not have a right to compete unfairly, by flooding the market with infringing products," Ms Koh said of the latest ban.
