Trade in mobiles for access to new broadband roll-out
Owners of some 400,000 homes and businesses in the UK could have a brand new reason to trade in their mobile phones and switch to one of the latest smartphones.
That is because they now have access to brand new broadband connections, which have been installed by BT.
All of the properties to benefit from the project are located in London, with areas such as Primrose Hill, South Clapham and Northolt among the targeted boroughs.
In total, some 1.8 million premises within the city are now able to use the latest high-speed broadband provided by BT.
Duncan Ingram, regional director for BT in London, said: "The arrival of super-fast broadband in these additional areas is a huge boost for local homes and businesses. It will transform their experience of the internet."
The network Three recently emphasised the quality of its mobile broadband service when announcing it is adding the Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman and Xperia Arc S devices to its portfolio.
