Trade in mobile for iPhone and chance to enjoy Yorkshire Dales
One of the many benefits to people who trade in their mobile and splash out on an Apple iPhone is the opportunity to use the device as a guide to the Yorkshire Dales.
The national park has created its own app for smartphones, with the first release for the popular Apple model only.
Featured on the tool are walking and cycling route ideas, pictures of the region and advice on how to access it.
To start, only Malham and Hawes are included in the guide, but the app developers aim to add many more locations over the coming months.
Kath Needham, project officer at Go Dales!, said many people who visit the national park do not return because they are stuck for ideas on what to do.
"The app will provide a lot of answers so they can plan their visit in advance," she confirmed.
Some 9.5 million people visit the Yorkshire Dales every year.
