Trade in mobile for iPad 2 deal with Vodafone

Consumers hoping to get their hands on the new iPad 2 as soon as possible may be wise to trade in their used phones and pick up the device via Vodafone today (March 25th).

The mobile operator has confirmed it is stocking the tablet from its launch day and has devised a number of price plans for people to sign up to.

Apple has designed the model to be 33 per cent thinner and 15 per cent lighter than the original while still boasting the same 9.7-inch super-screen.

It runs on a new dual-core A5 processor and features superb graphics and two cameras.

"We're offering great value to both existing and new customers who want the next generation of Apple's iPad on our outstanding network," stated Guy Laurence, chief executive officer at Vodafone UK.

US technology manufacturer Apple announced the launch of the iPad 2 at a special ceremony in California earlier this month.
