Trade-in mobile and switch to Virgin Media for new music app
Customers of Virgin Media – including those who trade-in a mobile before signing up with the firm – can enjoy a new dedicated music app.
PushLife, which is free to download, will work alongside the Virgin Media Music store to ensure tunes are available on both computers and handsets.
It will allow people to transfer the contents of their iTunes and other music databases to their mobile, meaning they can listen to their favourite artists whenever they wish.
Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at the company, says: "Now customers will have complete control over their music and a great range of handsets to choose from, enabling them to enjoy their music collections wherever they are."
Another advantage of the app is its ability to let users share their musical preferences with friends on social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.
Song-sharing portal Spotify, which is available in app form to mobile consumers, has announced Telephone by Lady Gaga was its most played song of 2010.
