T Mobile G1 users get access to family savings
Consumers with a T Mobile G1 could soon be enjoying cheaper mobile bills thanks to a new initiative announced by the network which exclusively offers the phone.
The carrier - which also counts the Samsung Classico, Nokia 6600 Slide and Sony Ericsson W995 among its devices - announced the launch of a new add on for use by groups of friends and loved ones.
Family Booster requires just one of any five people to sign up to pay an extra £5 per month on their contract or pay-as-you-go tariff, for which all those involved will get access to a range of incentives.
Each member of the group will be able to make unlimited calls, texts and picture messages to one another for free - and the rolling monthly nature of the service means no long-term commitment is required.
Steve Mitchell, head of pay monthly at T Mobile, noted: "Whether it's your daughter ringing for a lift after school [...] or your dad sharing his latest joke, your family will always be able to stay in touch for free."
