Sony Xperia Z SIM Free Price Tag Unveiled

British consumers will be able to get their hands on a SIM-free Sony Xperia Z mobile phone in black, white or purple for £529.

Gadget lovers can register their interest in the handset on the Japanese manufacturer's website now, and receive email notifications when the device is available for purchase.

Aspirant owners could instead choose to pre-order the smartphone on a contract through O2, Three, Phones4U or Carphone Warehouse.

Those who do so before February 27th will receive a free pair of Sony MDr-1R headphones worth £299, allowing them to enjoy high-quality music on-the-go.

The Android Jelly Bean operating system means owners have access to the Google Play storefront, which boasts an impressive catalogue of tracks, albums, movies, games, tools, magazines and books.

Users will be able to appreciate multimedia on the five-inch HD display, and the quad-core processor should provide a fast and smooth experience.

A screen protector is included in the box, but the handset is already durable thanks to both water and dust-proofing technologies.
