Sony Xperia Honami Mini appears
A lot of mobile phone companies have been producing pint-sized versions of their flagship handsets, and it now appears that Sony is planning its own Mini device.
This latest leak adds weight to the rumour that the company wants to compete with rivals like HTC and Samsung, which have already released smaller versions of their popular handsets. The Sony Xperia Honami Mini has appeared in an image next to a BlackBerry handset in a fairly blurry size comparison.
It also came with claims that the smartphone would carry a Snapdragon 800 processor which may be in the upcoming Sony Xperia i1/Honami/Z1. The leak also suggested that the Honami Mini will also come with a 20-megapixel camera and 2GB of RAM and be powered by a 2,400mAh battery.
Sony teased fans last week with a snapshot of its upcoming device but the image only showed the power button so didn't really give many details about what users could expect from the company's next handset.
However, we should find out fairly soon what Sony has planned as it is expected that the firm will make a few announcements at the pre-IFA event on September 4th.
