Sony Mobile introduces Xperia E Android handset
Sony Mobile has introduced the Xperia E, which will be available in single or dual-SIM models.
Owners who want to save money can therefore easily use SIM cards from different providers, opting for those which offer the best tariffs.
Buyers may also be able to reduce bills by utilising the data usage application, which lets consumers know how much they have spent.
Google's Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system is pre-installed on the device, but users will be able to upgrade to Jelly Bean by downloading an over-the-air update.
This software means that users can browse the Google Play virtual application store, which has more than 700,000 tools and games available.
The Xperia E models feature a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, 3.5-inch touch-screen, and will be available with a black, white or pink casing.
Sony's Calum MacDougall said: "They are perfect for those seeking affordable access to the quality and functionality more traditionally associated with high-end Android smartphones."
