Sony Ericsson T715 Offers Old School Charm

One expert has said the Sony Ericsson T715 may look familiar, but this is just part of its overall charm.

In a piece for Cnet this week, Jonathan Parkyn explained that the device looks very similar to a number of past models from the company and is without the kind of Walkman and Cyber-shot branding that features on some of its siblings.

Despite this, he says the "old-school charm" of the T715 is likely to tempt some people who want a simple and effective handset, adding that at £100 on pay-as-you-go and £14-per-month on certain contracts, it is also an affordable option.

"The T715 is a refreshingly streamlined device. It's simple to use yet sophisticated enough to merit consideration on its own terms," Mr Parkyn concluded.

Sony Ericsson has equipped the model with 3G and HSDPA support, a 3.2-megapixel camera, integrated media player and FM radio, as well as 90 MB of on-board storage expandable to 4 GB with a microSD card.

The device was announced in June this year alongside the VH310 Bluetooth headset.
