Sony Ericsson has announced details of its latest cameraphone - and it boasts a 12.1-megapixel sensor.
The Satio has a number of photographic features that could make it ideal for those looking to recycle mobilephones to pay for a new camera-focused model.
Incorporating 12x digital zoom and auto focus, as well as BestPic, face detection, geotagging, image stabiliser and a red-eye reduction system, the manufacturer claimed it is "the ultimate multimedia experience".
Also onboard the device is a 3.5-inch screen - which has an aspect ratio of 16:9 to allow widescreen video playback - and an integrated media player that a spokesman for the firm says is simple to use.
Fredrik Mansson, market business manager at Sony Ericsson, said: "Just tap directly into your favourite videos and music with the unique full touch media menu, standby panels and music player."
Other models in the company's line-up include the photo-focussed Cyber-shot series and the music-centric Walkman range.
