Sony Ericsson Launches Two New Mobile Phones

Consumers could wish to recycle their old mobile phone for cash to put towards one of two new devices unveiled by Sony Ericsson.

The two new handsets - the Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro - are based on the Android operating system and include features such as a slide-out Qwerty keyboard and a five megapixel camera and video, allowing users to share their content easily on the internet.

Other applications included with the phone are a music player that links to YouTube and music stores and Sony Ericsson's Timescape, which provides users with easy access to Facebook and Twitter updates.

Rikko Sakaguchi, Europe vice-president and chief creation officer at Sony Ericsson, said that the new handsets have pushed the boundaries of what is possible with smaller devices and "are giving consumers exactly what they want; two high-performance mobile phones with a fully-customisable user experience platform and a stunning ultra-compact design".

The handsets were unveiled ahead of the Mobile World Congress, which commenced in Barcelona today (February 15th).
