Sell My Mobile: England Fans Warned Over Mobile Phone Bills At Euro 2012

England fans heading to Euro 2012 to follow their team have been warned about the potential for extortionately high mobile phone bills in the Ukraine.

The EU recently ratified a cap on all data usage and phone calls in all countries within the eurozone, however, the European country isn't part of the body.

Fans travelling with smartphones could quite easily rack up bills of more than £5,000 if they aren't careful about their usage, according to comparison site uSwitch.com.

It is recommended that people curb their mobile usage and take other steps such as buying a local SIM card.

Technology expert at the firm Ernest Doku said that while watching England in a major tournament may well be a priceless experience, using your device abroad is not.

"Footie fans have to think ahead as using their phones while following England could add more than £5,000 to what is likely to be an already expensive trip," he continued.
