Sell mobiles for improved holiday information with iPhones

Tourists planning their summer holidays can sell mobiles in favour of investing in an iPhone and iPad and the enhanced travel information such devices offer.

A new Rhodes Guide app has been launched for the Apple products and can be downloaded to provide a comprehensive overview of the Greek island.

For £3.49, consumers gain details of thousands of potential destinations for their break, from bars and restaurants to accommodation and places to go.

The app is divided into a trio of major features – an interactive map, a calendar of events and a guide to attractions.

It may be ideal for everybody from those who simply want to relax in the sun and experience delicious local cuisine to those planning action-packed adventures.

Owners of Apple iPhones, iPads and iPods can also download apps for other holiday destinations.

Earlier this month, Stuff Magazine suggested the iPhone 5 could be set for release later in 2011.
