Sell mobile for chance to enjoy Christmas iPad app

Mums and dads could sell a family mobile in order to make room for an Apple iPad, on which they can help their children draw up a Christmas present list.

Amazon has announced its festive tool is now available to users of the popular tablet device.

Known as Amazon Santa, it offers the chance to create a list of dream gifts and then circulate it among friends and family members.

It means people will be able to give presents this Christmas that kids really want, rather than taking their chances on a random item.

Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile, said more than 500,000 gifts have been added to the app.

"The Amazon Santa app is a great way for parents to spend some quality time with their kids and help make certain there's a smile Christmas morning," the expert added.

Earlier this month, Amazon launched a price app that allows consumers to check the cost of goods online compared to in stores.
