Sell mobile and enjoy easy bookings

One of the benefits of selling mobiles and switching to a top-of-the-range smartphone is the ability to make reservations and bookings at the touch of a button.

Andris Berzins, chief marketing officer at Livebookings, said it is becoming increasingly common to secure tables at restaurants via a handset.

He suggested this is "much easier" for consumers than other, more traditional methods, while he also noted that seven out of ten people prefer to use a phone rather than a specific app.

"We believe the smartphone revolution has created a new type of diner – MoDs, or mobile diners – that locate, research, book and review restaurants while on the move," Mr Berzins said.

Those who dine out frequently might have most to gain from selling mobiles and investing in a smartphone capable of making bookings.

JiWire recently found that mobile consumers are also spending more time using their devices to browse products and complete purchases.
