Sell iPads ahead of holiday season
Selling iPads ahead of the traditional summer holiday season might be a wise decision that saves consumers a significant amount of cash.
That is because those who use the device while abroad have been warned the charges for doing so could be particularly high.
Michael Phillips, product director at Broadbandchoices.co.uk, explained it is tempting to use the tablets while away, as they perform a number of roles – such as allowing people to keep in touch with loved ones, acting as a music player and offering access to the internet.
"However even simple tasks like checking your email can become expensive if you are using your domestic iPad tariff to surf while on holiday abroad," he said.
The expert added that it is not necessarily the same price to use an iPad as it is to access mobile broadband.
Apple released the iPad 2 following a lavish launch ceremony in California earlier this year.
