Sell iPad ahead of upgrade to newer model
People across the world could be selling iPads as they gear up to upgrade to the iPad 2 – if supply allows them to do so.
A spokesman for gadgetsandgizmos explained there has not been enough of the tablets to go round in all of the 25 countries it has so far been released in, due to huge demand.
To put the hunger for the device into context, he added that Apple sold one million original iPads in a month following its launch in 2010, but met that target within one weekend for the second version.
Commenting on some of the advantages of the model, the representative stated: "The iPad 2 is different in a number of ways when compared to traditional mobile platforms. It has a larger touchscreen than a smartphone and is more portable than a notebook."
Apple launched the iPad 2 at a lavish ceremony in California last month.
