Samsung To Launch Galaxy S III In April

The new smart mobile phone offering from Samsung, the Galaxy S III, that will be replacing the Galaxy S II as the firm's flagship device, will be launched in Britain in April, it has been claimed.

ZDNet Korea have claimed that Samsung's advertising agency have confirmed the launch will take place in the UK next month, which is in contrast to a statement from the firm last month that suggested it would be unveiled in June.

Features haven't been officially released as of yet but technology blog Boy Genius Report claimed it would feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a 4.8-inch 1080p resolution display, 2GB RAM and an eight-megapixel rear camera. It is thought the device will also run on Android 4.0.

Despite the lack of an unveiling of the Galaxy S III at last week's Mobile World Congress, Samsung did launch a number of other products including the Beam smartphone, which incorporates a projector, as well as a new version of the Galaxy Note.
