Samsung launches the Galaxy Nexus in white
Samsung has confirmed it will be launching its Galaxy Nexus in white later this month, which could well see a greater increase in the number of people recycling their mobile phones to get the new handsets.
The first smartphone to feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich offers customers all the features found in the original phone, including the 4.65 HD Super AMOLED display. As well as this, there will be a five megapixel camera and super-fast 1.2GHz dual core processor.
Simon Stanford of Samsung's UK & IRE Telecommunication & Networks division said following much speculation the firm had decided to make the white version available because of the great reception the phone has received since its launch.
"One of the things we at Samsung pride ourselves on is the choice we offer customers, and we've enjoyed huge success to date by introducing white variants of our most popular models to our product portfolio," he added.
This comes at the same time as Nokia announced its Lumia 800 would now also be available in white.
