Samsung guilty of infringing Apple patent
It seems like Samsung and Apple are never out of the courts and it has surfaced today that the companies have had another mobile phone patent war.
The South Korean manufacturer has been found guilty of infringing technology used by Apple on the 'bounce back' user interface tool, which is embedded into its operating system.
According to Reuters, a Japanese court has deemed that Samsung can't use the feature, which allows a kind of virtual elasticity to allow users to stretch the screen, in emails, photos and messages, before it snaps back into place.
The decision shouldn't restrict the company too much as it has moved on from the bounce-back feature in its newer handsets. However, it will be interesting to see whether or not Apple can use the decision to its advantage.
