Samsung Galaxy S5 unveiled
Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship mobile phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014. The Korean manufacturer said it has "decided to go back to basics" with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S5 but the handset brings a few standout features.
Among the headline functions is its water-resistant and fingerprint technology, bringing stuff that we have seen in the Sony Xperia range and Apple's current flagship the iPhone 5S, though the Samsung scanner will allow direct access to Paypal.
However, the new Samsung smartphone also features a heart monitor and improved camera, which will impress some users. Many mobile phone fans know that it's not the megapixel count that makes the camera anymore, but the Samsung Galaxy S5 brings several exciting features such as Selective Focus and allowing real time HDR - as well as the 16-megapixels.
The handset also has an extended the 2,800mAh battery life and claims that it can run for a 24-hour period by changing the colour of the device and restricting the smartphone to only allow calls and texts.
