Samsung Galaxy S4 Unveiled, Octa Core CPU Confirmed

After much speculation, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone was officially unveiled at the manufacturer's Unpacked event, which took place in New York on March 14th.

Rumours about the inclusion of an octa-core processor were promoted by the debut of the CPU at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013, and have now been confirmed.

This impressive piece of hardware will provide 1.6 GHz performance, but consumers will also be able to get their hands on a model with a 1.9 GHz quad-core chip.

One addition also hinted at before the official debut was the five-inch screen, which has FHD resolution for an impressive multimedia experience.

The South Korean company has also improved upon its award-winning predecessor, the Galaxy S3, by boosting the battery to 2,600 mAh and installing Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.

As expected, the camera specifications have also been taken up to a new level, with a 13-megapixel snapper replacing the previous eight-megapixel variety.
