Samsung Galaxy S3 Music Hub To Take On ITunes

Samsung has today (May 29th) launched its Music Hub - a song locker, radio and store for the Galaxy S3 that will compete with Apple's popular iTunes.

Music Hub will give consumers the opportunity to pay to stream their choice of over 19 million tracks as well as allowing them to match their entire home musical library.

This will initially only be available to Samsung Galaxy S3 owners and will be offered in a free and premium price plan, which will set customers back £9.99 a month.

This announcement comes shortly after Sony's Music Unlimited app was released to iPhone users, which is bound to create yet more competition in the market.

Music Hub joins a wealth of pre-existing music services including Spotify, Google Play and Apple's iTunes and iCloud.

“When you ask yourself, ‘what do I want to listen to?’ there is now one simple answer, for every mood, every place and everyone,” senior vice president of Samsung TJ Kang said of the service.
