Samsung Galaxy S3 even more attractive with Android Jelly Bean
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has already had fantastic sales, but even more Brits may be flocking to the stores for the mobile phone today as Jelly Bean updates start to roll out.
The new Android operating system has been much-anticipated, as it offers several improvements compared to its Ice Cream Sandwich predecessor.
Google claims that the 4.1 software version is faster and smoother. It means that a smartphone owner changing the orientation of their device will see the screen rotate more quickly, and app switches will be more fluid.
Networks O2 and Three have started to roll out the update to current S3 owners, who can download it over Wi-Fi or via the KIES desktop computer software.
Just 1.8 per cent of Android users are currently utilising the new firmware, which will come pre-installed on some newer mobile phones like the Galaxy S3 mini.
The majority of those using Android remain on Gingerbread – which is now three versions old.
