Samsung Galaxy S3 continues to top popularity list
The Samsung Galaxy S3 continues to be the most popular mobile phone in Britain, according to sales and search statistics.
The South Korean manufacturer's flagship handset has been top of the uSwitch Mobile Tracker consistently since it hit shelves in May.
Sporting a 4.8-inch HD display, quad-core processor, eight-megapixel camera and innovative 'designed by nature' features, the device has garnered praise from consumers and technology experts alike.
Samsung has taken both silver and bronze positions too with its Galaxy Ace and Galaxy S2 handsets, which cater for consumers with a lower budget.
The Apple iPhone 5 gadget dropped one place to attain seventh in the January chart, with its predecessor, the 4S, close behind.
It seems that shoppers opted for more affordable devices during the month, perhaps as budgets were tighter following festive spending.
Nokia 100 and C2-01 mobile phones, which both feature a physical keypad, and the LG Nexus 4 smartphone outperformed the American manufacturer's premium devices.
