Samsung Galaxy S3: Android Update Could Bring Multi Window Feature

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S3 devices may soon benefit from the multi-window feature which is currently included on the Galaxy Note 2 device.

An incremental upgrade to the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system could mean that users are able to utilise the technology.

Multi-window allows smartphone owners to use two applications at the same time.

Many software systems, such as Apple iOS, allow their customers to have multiple applications running in the background.

However, this multi-window allows screens to be 'split', so that users could type a text message to a friend about a movie they are watching at the same time on the display.

It gives flexibility to the owner and many will find it extremely useful for multi-tasking - especially those with larger-screen devices.

Google is hosting an event on October 29th, where it is expected to unveil the latest LG Nexus 4.

The technology giant may also announce Android updates here, which will benefit a host of Google-powered gadgets.
