Samsung Galaxy Note 2 available next week
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet device will be available in UK stores from October 1st.
The gadget attempts to integrate the functionality of a smartphone with the size of a tablet computer.
It has a 5.55-inch AMOLED display with crisp 1,280x720 HD resolution.
Although the size of the device will be fantastic for browsing the web, it could make it difficult to hold for voice calls.
The latest version of the Google Android operating system, Jelly Bean, will power the device, improving upon the previous incarnation called Ice Cream Sandwich.
A 1.6 GHz quad-core processor should also ensure that the Note 2 is snappy.
An impressive 3,100 mAh battery will allow owners to use the gadget uninterrupted for hours.
Samsung has not officially unveiled the price of a SIM-less handset, but black or white versions of the device can be pre-ordered on the Phones4U website for free on a two-year, £41-per-month contract.
