Samsung Galaxy Note 2 achieves 5m sales
Samsung has announced that more than five million Galaxy Note 2 phablets have been sold around the world in the five months since its initial release.
The manufacturer made the announcement on the Korean version of its website, proving that demand is high for the smartphone-come-tablet device.
However, the Galaxy S3 remains the most popular, as over 30 million units of this mobile phone have shipped globally.
The Galaxy Note 2 went into UK stores on October 1st, but its recent release in the US may have contributed most significantly to the latest sales boost.
A 5.5-inch HD display attracts those who like to watch movies and play games on the go, and the 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and Android Jelly Bean operating system ensure everything runs smoothly.
One of the main distinguishing features is the inclusion of an S Pen - a stylus which allows owners more control over the touchscreen.
