Samsung Drops Strong Hints Of Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom Announcement

Samsung has dropped the strongest hint yet that it could be about to launch a variant to its flagship Samsung Galaxy S5, just days after the smartphone hit the shelves across the world for the first time.

The Korean smartphone giant released its flagship device this past Friday (April 11th) and it has already proven to be a very successful addition to its range of Android phones.

But could fans of taking snaps with their handsets have one eye on trading their phone in already? It seems that the company has done the same as it did a year ago and been working on a version of the Samsung leader with an improved and upgraded camera.

Despite many stating that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom had a camera that was only a slight upgrade from that which was packed into the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung is already apparently looking to launch the same sort of variant a year on.

The company has sent out invites to a press event in Singapore on April 29th, and hints have suggested that it will be an upgraded camera that takes centre stage at the show.

The slogan "Kapture the moment" features prominently on the invite, playing off the code name Samsung Galaxy K that has been used until now, with most people expecting this to be the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom.

If it follows the trend that the company set in 2013, then the phone will carry largely the same specifications as the flagship, but will also come packed with a better camera lens that allows for, as the name suggest, much improved zooming.

The Samsung Galaxy K is likely to have a slightly smaller case than the Samsung Galaxy S5, as well as a 4.8-inch HD screen.

However, its biggest selling point will be the 20-megapixel camera that will catapult it into the same marketplace as the likes of the Sony Xperia Z2 flagship, which has a camera with the same resolution as standard.
