Samsung Announces Galaxy Core LTE

Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy Core LTE/4G, bringing a mobile phone that sports 4G speed but at a low price.

The device, which is likely to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, brings a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 8GB of internal storage and a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 PLS TFT display. Camera wise, there is a five-megapixel shooter on the back, with a shoddy 0.3-megapixel one on the front, all powered by a 2,100mAh battery.

Low specs suggest that the company will put the device in a low price bracket, to open up 4G speeds to a more budget-friendly audience.

The handset can also capture 1080p video at 30fps and brings Samsung's TouchWiz user interface, bringing the standard Continuous Shot and Smart Shot, as well as other features from the company.

Samsung is yet to announced pricing or availability just yet, but has confirmed that users in Europe and Asia will be able to get their hands on it.
