Rural Businesses And Dwellers Could Benefit From Mobile Trade In

Trading in mobile phones and upgrading to newer models with access to the fastest broadband services is something that may appeal to those living in rural areas.

Clodagh Murphy, director at Eclipse Internet, said the UK must roll out the most hi-tech internet connections to firms and homeowners in the countryside.

She noted that an inability to provide this – or a refusal to utilise it – could result in an economic disaster.

"Small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK and for the economy to grow we need to ensure that they have the tools to compete, regardless of their geographic location," Ms Murphy stated.

One option for companies is to trade in mobiles and switch to devices with the best internet coverage, which could be put to good use in business.

Ofcom recently announced the results of a study that suggested O2, Vodafone and Three are the UK's fastest mobile broadband providers.
