Orange Smartphones Help To Keep M25 Moving

Quality inspectors working on the £1.1 billion M25 improvement project have been given smartphones by Orange.

The network operator said real-time management quality problems that can arise from the field have helped to be overcome by the provision of its smartphones to Skanska Balfour Beatty employees.

Director of corporate sales at Orange Russell Davis said: "The construction industry is a key market for Orange. Both Skanska and Balfour Beatty are longstanding Orange mobile customers."

Organisations that have similar real-time difficulties could find it beneficial to upgrade their employees' mobile phones to smartphones.

With convenient access to the internet, email and a variety of applications such as video calls, smartphones can prove to be a flexible tool for employees out of the office.

Indeed, a recent entrepreneurial poll by Orange and YouGov found 85 per cent of individuals believed communications technology like mobile phones make running a business from home easier.
