12/10/2010
A new deal being offered by O2 may have mobile customers flocking to trade-in their used phones and put the cash towards a device with the network.
The firm is to stock the HTC HD7, a handset that will run on the revolutionary Windows Phone 7 operating system.
Available from October 21st, the model features a 4.3-inch touchscreen and instant links to friends, family and social networking contacts.
Steve Alder, general manager of devices at the company, says: "The large memory and big screen on the HTC HD7, a great exclusive for O2, means that our customers will get the very best experience out of Windows Phone 7."
Another advantage of the new platform is its provision of a mobile Microsoft Office experience, meaning Word, PowerPoint and Excel can be used via a phone.
Other networks to announce their intention to stock devices with Windows Phone 7 this week include Orange and Three.
