Nokia X Android Phone Hacked

The Nokia X, the Finnish firm's first attempt at an Android smartphone, doesn't give users key apps like Gmail, YouTube, Hangouts or Google Now. Owners are also unable to download items from the Google Play store, giving the handset a much more Windows Phone look than some may have expected.
However, XDA Developers forum has hacked the smartphone to show users how they can access the Google-based features that they love. Forum member Kashamalaga has unveiled a simple method that gives the handset its Android core back.

The recently-owned Microsoft company is obviously hoping to bridge the gap between itself and Android, hoping that the taste of Windows Phone will be enough to convert them. However, some users may be disappointed that they are not getting their hands on a fully-Android version of a Nokia handset.

Although the phone doesn't offer users that, it may be that it has brought a full Android handset a little closer.
