Nokia revival 'unconvincing'
Mobile phone operators are unconvinced about the effectiveness of Nokia's attempts to turn around its ailing fortunes, Reuters reports.
Indeed, the Finnish mobile manufacturer recently admitted it expects to make a loss for the first six months of 2012, prompting its shares to drop by 14 per cent.
An executive in charge of mobile devices at a European operator told the news agency that nobody goes into a store asking for a Windows Phone.
He acknowledged that the software is very well integrated with desktop computers and boasts exceptional functionality, but added that very few people are aware of this.
"If the Lumia with the same hardware came with Android in it and not Windows, it would be much easier to sell," he said.
The expert suggested it will be a challenge for Nokia to restore their credibility in terms of making mobile phones that are well suited to modern times.
