Nokia officially confirms entry-level Lumia 510
Speculations can finally be put to rest as Nokia has confirmed that it will release an entry-level handset called the Lumia 510.
In order to keep prices low, the device will be powered by the Windows Phone (WP) 7.5 operating system.
Microsoft will unveil its WP8 software at an event on October 29th, and the imminent, high-end Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 handsets will utilise this new firmware.
The older platform still has 'Live Tiles', so that users can see social network and email updates at a glance.
The device will have a four-inch touchscreen, making the display size equivalent to an Apple iPhone 5.
A five-megapixel camera is included, and 4 GB of internal storage means there is plenty of space for photographs.
Customers will be able to choose from cyan, red, white, yellow or black handset colour options.
If the gadget comes to the UK, it should go on sale for approximately £125. This makes it a fantastic option for those buying their first smartphone.
