Nokia Normandy to launch at MWC?
Rumours surrounding a Nokia-Android mobile phone could come to a head as reports now suggest that the handset could be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
The MWC kicks off towards the end of February but many had thought that Microsoft's buyout of the company would mean that a Android device wouldn't be happening. However, all the latest rumours are pointing towards the fact that Nokia will be producing a Google-based smartphone.
At next month's event, the Finnish manufacturer has scheduled a press event, suggesting that it has something big to say. This has sparked speculation that the company could be unveiling its Android device, though it could be any handset or new software.
According to The Verge, who spoke to sources, Nokia is waiting until the Barcelona event to launch its Normandy handset. This matches with a recent leak that saw a snapshot of the user interface make its way online. Interestingly, the date on the handset in the image showed Tuesday 25th, which happens to be the date of the MWC.
